The West Coast
The Ningaloo Barrier Reef – less famous yet no less spectacular than its Great cousin off the Eastern Australian coast – fringes 200 metres of the North-West coastline, offering endless opportunities for exploration and discovery. The area is relatively off-the-beaten track yet easily accessible by road from Perth. To the south of the Reef lies Coral Bay, which has become one of Western Australia’s most popular destinations in recent years, while to the north lies Exmouth, a world-class marine park on one side and rugged mountains behind.
